Here is the Marucci CAT 8 Baseball Bat Review

Marucci CAT 8 Baseball Bat

The CAT 8 succeeds the CAT 7 and it comes with some changes that are supposed to be improvements. One of the more significant changes is the new and improved alloy known as the AZ105. They say it’s the most robust aluminum ally that can be found in the lineup of Marucci bats. Hence, the claim it can be made the barrel walls thinner. A benefit of this new alloy is the enlargement of the sweet spot.

The upgrades over the CAT 7 are the use of the 2nd Generation AV2 Anti-Vibration Knob. This comes with a harmonic dampening system, which is “designed” to give baseball hitters a much better feel. You’re also not supposed to get as many unpleasant stinging vibrations. The construction of the bat comes with a ring-free design, which helps in boosting the barrel flex and minimizing the probability of dead spots in the bat. This basically means that when you hit the ball it will make the ball fly far, high, and quickly (so they say!).

  • AZ105 alloy, the strongest aluminum on the Marucci bat line
  • Multi-variable wall design
  • 2nd Generation AV2 Anti-Vibration knob
  • Ring-free barrel construction
  • Precision-balanced barrel
  • One-piece alloy construction
  • Professionally inspired handle
  • Micro-perforated soft-touch grip
  • 2 5/8″ barrel diameter
  • BBCOR certified

The one-piece alloy design has a balanced feel and is a good option for contact hitters that prefer a one-piece bat.
